INTRODUCTION TO MITRE SAWS
Metabo are a leading manufacturer of compound mitre saws. Today we would like to introduce to
you our latest top end PRO range of KGS Plus machines. Due to the sliding function and the speed
control, these saws are particularly versatile. We have taken particular care to provide market leading
dust collection capabilities when connected to a vacuum. This makes the KGS Plus models particularly
suitable for use in workshops and interior construction. Don’t just take our word for it, see for yourself!

(VC) Variable speed control dial: Speed remains constant even under load giving you smooth, clean, safe cuts. Soft start
increases control and reduces start up forces on the motor and gearing delivering much longer service life than standard machines.

Superb dust extraction: The 2 extraction points are positioned in just the right areas. One next to the saw blade extracts the dust
immediately, and the second at the rear of the sliding rails allowing for accumulating dust at the end of each cut to be removed.
Metabo "Quick" saw blade change: Quick, simple and tool free saw blade change in record time - thanks to the spindle lock
and the tool-free Metabo Quick ange nut.
Impressive cutting capacity: Even the smaller KGS 216 Plus can cut an impressive 305 mm in width, 70 mm deep. The top
model KGS 315 Plus can manage a staggering 320 mm in width, 120 mm deep. These machines really are prepared for anything.
Line laser: The display of the cutting line by the adjustable laser allows precise cutting right away, time and time again.
Trenching facility: This machine is operated by a ‘quick ick’ design meaning you can change from cutting to trenching mode
in seconds while still retaining your depth setting.
Speed control: Material specic. For cutting wood (5-6) with Metabo Power, Precision or Multi-Cut blades. Plastics (3-4) with
Metabo Precision or Multi-Cut blades. Metal (1-2) with Metabo Multi-Cut blades. See pages 108-109 for details.
Flexible LED work light (0910065173): Makes work easier when light conditions are poor. It is available as an accessory along
with many other useful items.
Double bevel: Common mitre and bevel angles are easy to set via common stop points. All control elements have a user-friendly
location and are purposely designed to be easy to reach. Even on KGS 254 i PLUS Induction machine.
Transport made easy: The KGS 254 Plus is the optimal solution for all mounting jobs. In transport mode the saw head and the
sliding function can be locked. The side handles provide easy access lifting points.
