AC30 Plus Charger
With the introduction of Li-Power a new
charger is necessary:
Universal charger AC30 Plus (Li-Ion / NiCad / NiMH)
The charger is reverse-compatible, that means the
AC30 Plus is able to charge all three technologies
(NiCad, NiMH, Li-Ion )

protection against shock. The cell
pack itself has no direct contact
with the outer casing providing
maximum cell protection.
Multifunctional- display
Temperature monitoring and
Overload protection
If the critical temperature of 176°F
is reached, the display blinks
(4 LED’s flash) and the battery
pack electronics stop working.
As a result the battery pack and
the machine are protected against
overloading. To cool down the
overheated battery pack as quickly
as possible, it should be used with
the “AIR-COOLED“ AC30 Plus
charger. In Addition the battery
pack will be charged simultaneous.
Automatic warning of low capacity
When the battery is low, a blinking
signal appears (1 LED flash) on the
display that indicates that the
battery needs to be changed soon.

unit and while charging, this heat damages the battery pack.

or this reason a temperature sensor is integrated. This
s
ensor indicates the overheating as soon as the critical
temperature of 176°F is reached.
Electronic overcharge- and discharge protection.
O
vercharging damages every battery cell. The overcharge
protection of Metabo stops the charging, as soon as the cells
are completely charged. As a result the battery pack is better
p
rotected and disposes of the complete capacity. Deep
discharge damages Li-Ion cells significantly. Therefore, the
discharge-protection prevents over discharge of each cell,
o
ptimizing charging and maximizing life cycles.
